Software development / Professional life
Professionally I left Thoughtworks and am now a backend developer at Octopus Energy, working with Python and Django. This position gave a few firsts for me: first hybrid position with many remote colleagues, first time writing production-level Python, first time in a product/tech-first company.
I am (still) passionate about digital accessibility, and it is a tremendous joy to find WordPress themes that have accessibility baked in.
Learning interests
I listen to non-fiction podcasts a lot – the medium is an absolute saviour since I am a slow reader.
- I save my current podcast playlist and some of my favourite podcast snippets on ListenNotes. I would say they surround humanities subjects.
- My currently-reading list, and please don’t judge me on how long my to-read list is.
Other life things
I am learning German, B2 level. It occupies a lot of my free time.
I go to weekly contemprary jazz dance class, and often come home with a bruise or two.
I am waiting to get a pull up bar that fits my door frames, and will learn how to do a pullup (just one would be amazing).
