I learnt that links that simply say “read more” on a webpage does not comply with WCAG’s 2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context) (Level A) standards.
I have been very conscious of how these links are written whenever I can, for example writing wiki documents at work, and on my own blog. Sometimes it is difficult, especially when the context is not a simple title, but provided by more than a sentence.
This article How to make “Read More” links accessible by Vision Australia has 6 different strategies on dealing with this issue. I shall refer to this page often and hopefully it proves to be a useful resource!
